Children from our Junior Church who have taken part in a preparation course receive communion at St. Peter's. This is part of a pioneering project adopted by Bradford Diocese to allow children to receive communion before confirmation. Following on from their first communion, many of these children are now confidently taking on many different roles within our worship - enter the crucifers, acolytes, readers, intercessors… there’s no stopping them! Whilst these children have been learning more about the structure of the church and their part in worship, new groups undertake the preparation course. Whether they decide to go on to receive communion or not, the sessions are informative, instructive and fun for leaders and children alike.
