YOUNG CHURCH, Sundays at 10 a.m.
We are aged from a few months upwards! Everyone is welcome - and no-one minds the babies crying!
On the first Sunday each month at 10, we have a special half hour service with the whole church family, especially for us!
On other Sundays, we join our families in worship in church at the start of the service, as well as having a range of activities in the Church Hall on the same theme as the adults : we hear stories about Jesus, we act, draw, build, pray, sing, play, cook, write, model and have fun - then we return into church for a blessing at the communion rail and to share what we've been doing. We learn a lot, and have a happy time.
On the 2nd and 4th Sunday in each month, at the same time as the younger group meet in the hall, there is a special group (BATS IN THE BELFRY) for older children (over 7's), exploring more about the theme for the day and sharing ideas and activities together. Details here
After the service, there are squash and biscuits in the Hall, friends of all ages to meet and the field to play in.
We also prepare and perform plays, and take part in the services.
We look forward to getting to know you. Click here for a summary of regular children's activities at St. Peter's, and here to find out about Communion Preparation, First Communion (photos) and Confirmation (photos). Other photos are in archive
